Lauren works from a strengths perspective and has experience with addressing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, LGBTQ+ support and adjustment disorders. She uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness in her approach and helps clients to co-create treatment plans that include their goals and steps that can help them reach those goals.

Lauren has worked with children and adolescents for the majority of her career. This has included education advocacy, family therapy, case management, and referrals for additional external support. Lauren has worked very closely with the LGBTQ+ population and has a passion for providing support and care to the entire queer community. Lauren is intentional while helping her clients to process past experiences and then be able to recall memories without re-experiencing the pain they caused. She also encourages use of strategies that empower others to develop new habits that are more aligned with their values and overall wellness.

Lauren is bilingual and can provide services to English and Spanish speaking clients and their families. She learned Spanish initially in 2004 when living and volunteering at a children’s home in Mexico. Lauren minored in Spanish as an undergraduate and completed advanced courses in Costa Rica. Lauren brings uniqueness and inclusivity to her therapy sessions and is eager to connect with those in need of her services.
